1. Many familiar fungi belong to this class, including bracket fungi and toadstools. 2. Most of these indicator fungi are polypores ( bracket fungi ). 3. Fruiting bodies of bracket fungi may appear on the trunk or in the crown. 4. The larvae live between layers of bracket fungi , genus Polyporus. 5. It also doesn't help that most bracket fungi taste like tree bark with similar toughness. 6. The caterpillars inhabit rotting wood, which they feed on; they also eat bracket fungi growing on it. 8. Bose built up over the years a herbarium for bracket fungi by collections from different parts of the world. 10. The larvae have been recorded feeding on " Globifomes graveolens ", " Fomes " species and possibly other bracket fungi .
